Spring cleaning and a variety of other familial pursuits have taken the majority of my recent attention. I like to think that my laser focus on a single spinning plate prevents me from keeping them all in a steady twirl. But more likely, it’s fatigue or laziness, both of which I generally try to ignore. I recently published both my novels, 3 LIES and DARK POOL, on two new sites: XinXii and Kobo Books. Today, I’ll cover my experience at XinXii. According to their website, XinXii is the leading European indie ebook publisher and distributor. The name is derived from the Chinese …

Since novelist Claude Bouchard introduced the crime-busting duo of Lieutenant Dave McCall and computer expert Chris Barry in Vigilante, crime has plummeted in the beautiful city of Montreal, Quebec by 42%. Seriously. Beauty, eh? But coincidence? I think not. During the daylight hours, Claude stalks twitter as @Ceebee308 wielding his parlez-vous-ing charm, razor-blade wit, and a ready to all who encounter him in the stream. Through this steady march on the social media scene, he’s amassed a legion of followers over 250,000 strong, a number impressive to any marketing despot. And while Claude masquerades as a friendly oil-painting, wife-gushing, cat-wearing …

From author Lynn Hardy, the Prophecy of the Flame: In a blinding flash of light, five nondescript strangers are yanked from this world and thrust into a land of sorcery. Transformed into the characters they were pretending to be; Archmage Reba, Jamison the healer, Jerik the dwarf, Charles the prince charming, and Allinon the druid elf blend twentieth century technology with the supernatural powers of this new world. This band of wannabe heroes soon discovers that having the powers you have always dreamed of, does not make life a dream come true.
Author Douglas Dorow is friendly, interesting, and he doesn’t talk smack about his wife. All good qualities for a member of the human race, I say, let alone a writer. In Dorow’s debut thriller, The Ninth District, a masked bandit nicknamed The Governor robs bank after bank before murdering a pregnant bank employee. FBI Agent Jack Miller investigates the bold capers with the help of a rookie agent he calls Junior. As they anticipate The Governor’s next heist, the robberies stop. But why? There’s a bigger bank in town. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. The Ninth District. And it’s …
